Dear Rahul,
Had written you a similar letter after 2014 debacle but I guess like many good things, it didn't reach you.
Had you read that letter , you could have spared yourself and your party this bashing . Almost on similar lines.
So here are some suggestions for you.
Resign from party president and don't wilt under pressure. Let the CWC elect a new president democratically..Let that not be someone from your family or friends .
Spend next 2-3 years understanding your competition , the impact of its work basis it, formulate your game plan.. travel across length and breadth of country ideally by train
Don't comeback with a modi bashing campaign . Comeback with what is your plan and how will you realize it.
Behave like a responsible MP walk the transformation talk. Do for waynand what you couldn't for amethi .
Earn a name for yourself with your work and not because you are Gandhi. It's never too late . You have a great thought of love, develop it further . Play to your strengths .

For a change be a follower . Follow a better leader , ideally younger , from congress . Internship in BJP is not a bad idea. Honestly.
If you really want to transform yourself and your party. Start by giving up control. Follow that up by earning respect through hardwork .
Stop believing in coterie . They destroy people. Those who could nt defend their own seats, how can they advise you. ?
Most importantly .Try to define what Congress party stands for . Clearly . No it's not a mahatma gandhi.
No it's not secularism .
Gandhi belongs to everyone. Secularism was an after.thought.
Come out with a clear cut ideology of congress. Try renaming the party..A new brand might work wonders, who knows.
Why not form a party by the name of United Progressive alliance ? Call all like-minded parties to join. Create a collective alternate , melt your identities , ideologies , create one.
Avoid Nepotism.
Until and unless you put these 5 years to create a powerful alternate to Modi for india .
You will continue to a fringe element in national politics. No more votebank, religion region caste.
If you learn from your mistakes and listen to epopel who have nothing to gain from you. You will gain much more.
Purge the whole leadership team..Bring in young guys. Like Abhishek dutt , your Delhi councillor . People who have peoples trust and have earned respect basis their work .
Desperate times, desperate , disproportionate measures . Else get ready today to be whacked again in 2024.
